How to Create a New Customer
This onboarding flow is designed to make customer access simple, secure, and easy to manage.

This guide explains how to:

  • Create a new customer in Cookaborough
  • Understand the automatic onboarding emails sent to customers
  • Help customers complete their account setup

Part 1: Creating a New Customer

Step 1: Open the Customers Page

From your Cookaborough dashboard:

  1. Select Customers from the side navigation menu
  2. Click Create Customer


This will open the customer creation form.



Step 2: Enter the Customer Details

Fill in the customer’s details that they have shared with you.

Important:

Double check the email address carefully, as the customer will use this email to access their account and receive login emails.

You can also:

  • Mark the customer as having no email address
  • Subscribe them to marketing emails (only if they have given permission)


Step 3: Create the Customer

Once all details are correct:

  1. Click Create

This will:

  • Create the customer account
  • Automatically subscribe the customer to your business
  • Trigger the automated account setup email


Part 2: What Happens After the Customer is Created

Automatic “Setup Account” Email

As soon as the customer account is created, Cookaborough automatically sends the customer a setup email.


The email includes:

  • Your business name and branding
  • A “Get Started” button
  • Your business contact details


This email helps the customer securely access their account for the first time.

Part 3: Customer Account Setup Process

Step 1: Customer Clicks “Get Started”

The customer opens the setup email and clicks the Get Started button.

This takes them to your branded Cookaborough page.

Step 2: Customer Confirms Their Email

The customer will:

  1. Confirm their email address
  2. Click Send secure login link


Cookaborough then sends them a secure login email.

Step 3: Customer Receives Login Email

The login email contains:

  • A Login button
  • A secure login link
  • A 6-digit login code


Customers can either:

Option A — One Click Login

Click the Login button to automatically sign in.

Option B — Use the Login Code

Enter the 6-digit code manually on the login screen.

Once complete, the customer is logged in and taken directly to your business page.
