Understanding the Care Provider onboarding process
Most Care Providers in the Support at Home (SaH) program (previously known as Home Care Packages) require meal businesses to complete an onboarding process before servicing clients.
This process typically involves:
- Providing details of your menu and how Support at Home recipients can order
- Submitting compliance documents to demonstrate that your business meets SaH Meal Provider requirements
- Supplying business and payment information for invoicing
The following email template provides all of the information most Care Providers require. You can use this template when:
- You’re reaching out to a Care Provider for the first time to establish a partnership, or
- You’ve received a direct request from a Care Provider to complete their onboarding process.
Some Care Providers may also request additional documentation, such as staff police checks, statutory declarations, or a Service Level Agreement (SLA). These requirements are usually specific to the individual Care Provider and are not included in the template.
Before sending the email
✅ Update all placeholders (e.g. <Care Provider>) and highlighted sections.
✅ Attach your supporting documents. ✅ Add all links where indicated (e.g. to your menu or SaH tab)
